One of the potentially difficult aspects of managing a Professional Body is the wide mix of stakeholders, ranging from the inner core of the organisation including the Board (Council, Trustees), Chief Executive and the employees through to the various standing committees, the wider membership, academics, and affiliated groups.

Whilst the employees will usually have well defined roles, others may be less clear about how they ought to be contributing to the organisation.

By working with Chief Executives and Trustees, we can help to identify the hidden traps inherent in the governance structure, and from there to define roles and responsibilities, so that each individual’s area of involvement is clear, what their remit is and how it relates to the achievement of objectives.
