Philippa Varey

Philippa’s career in marketing spans 20 years in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She is well-respected as a specialist in strategy development and communication, motivated by working with issues that really matter, and committed to finding creative opportunities to make a difference. Before founding Oriel Marketing she led the product development team for the AA, and the customer retention team for AA Insurance.
Tony Varey
FCIM MMRS
Tony has spent the last decade working with Professional Bodies. He spent 5 years as International Manager at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and 3 years as a consultant with the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH, previously RIPH). He is currently a member of the Advisory Council of Global Marketing Network (GMN), a new member association for marketers, and is a senior examiner for the (QCA-recognised) Association of Business Executives (ABE). Thus Tony is well acquainted with the professional education business and the workings of Awarding Bodies and Professional Institutes. Tony spent his early career in the oil industry in Product Management, Marketing Communications, Planning and Line Management roles.
